Chargers Broncos AFC West Battle

AFC West Triple coming to a head in Denver tonight for Chargers, throwback Thursdays, records broken, horses with 509, keep a way and all to see who will grab first place in the AFC West, with a few memories looming and on a beautiful night in Denver, kickoff at 5:25PM PST.

Peyton took the record from Brett Farve on Sunday with 509 and then to 510, Phillip Rivers was the first NFL QB to go 5 straight games with a passer rating of 120 as well.

Chargers come in with a rough loss at home vs. KC, and endure a triple of division games all in a span of 11 days, tonight the biggest one.  With Chargers coming in with everyone picking the Broncos, actually historically this team does well on these notes.

Last year they came in as underdogs as well, do you remember the Phillip Rivers to Keenan Allen hurdle TD!  That followed with an excited QB on set with NFL Networks crew sharing his excitement like a pop warner player, his true Alabama self and somehow still innocent and all the love for the game came out and shined bright, with bolo ties and snake skin boots.  The last time these two met was close as well, and an advertisement for Omaha Steaks as that was the word Peyton was stuck on, ending not favorably for the Chargers.

Keep Away, Just as the Broncos players did with Peyton and his 509 game ball, that’s what the Chargers need to do tonight.  Time of possession and sustain drives, productivity, the ingredients which they have won with.  Defense will need to limit receivers, disguise schemes as they play chess with Peyton on the line.  Freeney will be hopefully greeting his former teammate on the ground, while the Chargers line will need to keep Von Miller and Demarcus Ware at bay and away from Phillip.  Contain the run as well as former Aztec Ronnie Hillman as he is getting his groove with 2 TD’s last week vs. SF.  Along with continuing to run the ball themselves and of course #Rivers2Gates always has a great ring with results, how bout that tipped TD catch!
Bolts continue to be ailing espescially with a short week and a must win division game but keep in mind secondary players will be the same as they were in the last TNF game and that ended with a win, Shaureece Wright and Brandon Marshall will mostly be the corners.

Injury update:  OUT: Flowers, Te’o, Matthews,  and Brown
Doubtful: Attochu
Questionable: Verrett, Williams

Broncos are pretty much running on all cylinders, with only Montee Bal and Omar Bolden out with Steven Johnson questionable

After the loss on Sunday, immediate panic for fans myself included, that the game would be coming at the worst possible time, however after sleeping on it, this may have been a blessing, plus everyone even dogs are picking the Denver. These are the games the  Chargers rise to and with that I’ll leave you with yet one more Bobby Rubio illustration.

I think they come out with a W and surprise this dynamic team in all faces at their home.
I know, I’m crazy, but they somehow match up well against Peyton.

Dynamite game wishes boys!

QUICK HITS; Bumpin in San Diego

QUICK HITS;

#Chargers meeting with Denver offensive coord Mike McCoy today. Who is known for his QB relations, taking Jake Delhomme, Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning to the playoffs.

It's being reported by Sports Illustrator's Jim Trotter that, Jimmy Raye now former Charger director of player personnel (that was supposedly a shoe in for the GM position now moves on) hired by the Indianapolis Colts and  takes Tom Tellesco's position (vice president of football operations).

More Indianapolis San Diego connections; Bruce Arians (Colt's interim HC & Offensive coord) interview moved to Wednesday.

And later today a recap of the amazing Divisional Playoffs this last weekend, Im taking good football!!

Then there were FOUR!

BEST GAME OF THE WEEKEND??

THERE IS ALWAYS AN UPSET, AND UPSET IN THE HOME TEAM ( HIGHER SEEDED TEAM LOSES, JUST ONE, LAST WEEK IT WAS THE SKINS)

TOSS UP F0R ME
OBVIOUSLY THE REMATCHES ARE ALLURING

PATS 42-14 WIN OVER THE TEXANS 12/10 (WK14)
or
DENVER AT BALTIMORE 34-17 WIN 12/16 (WK 15)
or
WEEK ONE;  PACKERS LOSS TO NINERS AT HOME   9/9/12

TWO GAMES ARE FLIPPED,
BRONCOS HOST RAVENS AT MILE HIGH

GREEN BAY GOES INTO SAN FRAN

AND THE SAME REMATCH JUST LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO
NEW ENGLAND HOSTING HOUSTON.

WEATHER DEF WILL BE A FACTOR, I HEARD A CRAZY STAT THAT PEYTON IS 0-3  IN PLAYOFF GAMES WHEN THE WEATHER IS 40 OR BELOW, FORECAST AT MILE HIGH 19-8 DEGREES.

MY PICKS:

AGAIN, ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE ONE UPSET AND WITH THAT NOTE HERE I GO.

I'M STICKING WITH SEATTLE, PICKED EM LAST WEEK AND I LOVE WHAT PETE HAS DONE
SO SEAHAWKS AT FALCONS, I THINK THAT DEFENSE CAN DO IT, ITS A FAR TREK AND LOTS OF MILES LAST FEW WEEKS FOR THIS TEAM, BUT THEY HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL AND THEY ARE YOUNG.

GOING WITH DENVER, AND THAT DEFENSE WINS THE GAME, THAT AND PEYTON

ILL TAKE NEW ENGLAND AS WELL, ALTHOUGH THEIR DEFENSE IS RANKED IN THE BOTTOM TIER, ON THE OTHER HAND WADE PHILLIPS DEFENSE IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH ITS A MUST WIN FOR THE TEXANS DEFENSE. THEY WILL KEEP BRADY OFF & ON THE GROUND, BUT PATS SOMEHOW  FIND AWAY TO STOP ARIAN FOSTER, I THINK THIS GAME GOES TO THE LAST FEW MOMENTS, BUT BRADY AND GRON, OR WELKER  SOMEHOW MOVE THEM DOWN FOR GAME WINNING SCORE.  BELICHICK IS A BRILLIANT WIZARD.

ANOTHER TOUGH ONE, GB AT SF
ROOKIE QB, WAS TAKEN APART, DEFENSE IS A LIL BANGED UP, SMITH OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE.
SEATTLE OPENED UP THE KEYS TO BRING THEM DOWN, ALTHOUGH HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE I THINK THAT GB FINDS AWAY  TO WIN.
SO I GUESS IVE GOT 2 UPSETS,  MAY NEED TO RETHINK THIS...........
I STILL THINK SEATTLE MOVES ON, SO I MAY NEED TO STICK WITH NINERS ON THIS PICK, AS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH MY ANALOGY OF ONLY ONE TEAM UPSETS, OR COULD THAT BE POSSIBLE????
HMMMMMM...............
ALTHOUGH AGAINST MY GRAIN OR PHILOSOPHY, I JUST THINK THAT GREEN BAY DOES FIND A WAY TO WIN..DAMN IM ON THE FENCE, NEED TO GIVE IT ANOTHER 1/2 HOUR.........CANT THROW OUT KAEPERNICK AND WHAT THIS KID CAN DO, YOUNG TEAM, HARBAUGH......I THINK I GOTTA GO WITH SF, BUT I THINK IT WILL BE CLOSE AND THEY WILL WIN IF THE ROOKIE CAN RISE TO THE PLAYOFFS AS HE IS BELIEVED TO

I GUESS I'LL FIND OUT.

Here's your injury report, too

HISTORY MAKING TOTAL NATIONAL HUMILIATION ON PRIME TIME FOR ALL TO WITNESS ON MNF

BIGGEST COME BACK EVER IN NFL HISTORY!

THE BLAME GAME,
A COLLAPSE,
CATASTROPHE,
FINGER POINTING,
FANS OUTRAGED
AND VYING FOR NORV, RIVER AND AJ HEADS'
A PREMONITION OF ALL GAMES BLACKED OUT

NFL.COM HAS A POSITION TOO, AS EVERYONE NATIONALLY I'M SURE DOES

GRIM GRIM PRE-HALLOWEEN GREETINGS FROM LAST NIGHTS DEBACLE AT THE Q.

FEELING PRETTY GOOD AT THE HALF UP 24 TO NOTHING, IT APPEARED THE CHARGERS HAD ALL ON THEIR SIDE, JAMMER'S FIRST PICK 6 AND ERIC DECKER SLIPS WHILE ONLY GREEN AND THE GOAL AHEAD IT SEEMED AS IF THINGS WERE GOING THEIR WAY
HOWEVER..........
IT BECAME VISIBLE AS THE BRONCOS EMERGED FOR THE 2ND HALF DOWN 24 POINTS AND READY TO WIN, WHILE THE BOLTS VISIBLY LEFT THEIR CLEATS ALONG WITH THEIR HEARTS IN THE LOCKER ROOM WHEN THEY RETURNED FOR THE LAST 30 MINUTES OF THE GAME.   PEYTON MANNING'S BRONCOS CAME BACK WITH 35 UNANSWERED POINTS 6 TOTAL TURNOVERS FOR RIVERS ALONE, (4 INT'S AND 2 FUMBLES).

DURING THE 2ND QUARTER CAMERA'S SHOWED PETYON LOOKING LIVID A RARITY - I DON'T THINK IVE EVER SEEN HIM LOOK DISHEVELED ON THE SIDELINES, WE JOKED THINKING WHAT HE MAY DO AT THE HALF RUN IN TO THE BATHROOM AND LOCK THE DOOR TO SCREAM??  NOPE I THINK HE WENT IN AND SAID OK GUYS LISTEN UP, AND WE'LL WIN! OH YEAH ALSO, THEY DON'T FINISH!
PLUS JOHN FOX IS A GREAT COACH AS I VIEWED LAST SEASON WHERE HE WAS AND IS ABLE TO UTILIZE PLAYERS FOR THE BEST OF THE TEAM TO BENEFIT, LAST YEAR HE WAS ABLE TO USE TEBOW'S (A TIGHT END MASQUERADING AS A QB) STRENGTHS TO BEAT PITTSBURGH. GUESS WHAT? MANNING IS THERE NOW.

HOWEVER…THAT BEING SAID AND STATED, A FOOTBALL GAME IS 60 MINUTES, 4 QUARTERS YOU ARE TAUGHT TO PLAY THE FULL TIME.

IF THE BOLTS CAN LEARN FROM 2 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS 52-7 KILLING IN THE SECOND HALF, BOTH LEADING BY DOUBLE DIGITS  AND YET  UNABLE TO FINISH.  NO DAGGER, WELL ACTUALLY THERE WAS ONE TO THE FANS AND TO THE TEAM.  IF THEY CAN TAKE THIS AND LEARN THERE IS HOPE.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KILL, THIS WASN'T 52-0 AT THE HALF WHERE YOU FIND COMPASSION IN YOUR OPPONENT IT WAS A MERE 24 POINT LEAD WITH ONE OF THE BEST FOURTH QUARTER COMEBACK TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE. A MVP AT THE HELM……. GAME WASN'T OVER IT WAS MERELY THE HALF.

XX1090 JUST AIRED NORV'S PRESSER, DEFINITELY WORTH SOME EARS TO HEAR BETWEEN THE LINES, HE GOT A LIL UNRAVELED WHICH IS ALSO A RARITY, FROM THE COMPOSED OR VERSED HEAD COACH.  MEDIA PRESSED DESERVINGLY SO FOR ANSWERS FOR YOU THE FANS.

A LONG 13 DAYS AS THE CHARGERS TRY AND FORGET THIS UNFORGETTABLE DISASTER THEN PREPARE FOR THE BROWNS WHO ARE GOING IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION WITH OUT MIKE HOLMGREN.

#MNF CHARGERS VS BRONCOS

IN LESS THAN AN HOUR THE CHARGERS WILL HOST THE PEYTON MANNING DENVER BRONCOS.

Peyton has stayed true to his species, from a Colt to a Bronco.

Chargers just edge over the Broncos in the 22 last meetings with 12 wins.

Variables or one specific to recon with is the missing link, Jared Gaither will not play.

Un drafted Bruin, Mike Harris will take command, now with a few games under his belt.
However not only the blindside is effected as the running game takes a toll too.

Running lanes, created by who??

San Diego has the NFL's 5th-ranked rush defense allowing an average of 74.0 yards
McGahee is only back to exceed 100 yards rushing in the last dozen games vs the Chargers.

Denver's defense has allowed an average of 120 yards a game, but can they make the lanes?

It is Monday Night Football however, and no matter what the Chargers seem to rise to the occassion along with matching up well with the former Colt leader, the pieces are different in Denver but Manning has something special to be reconned with.  Look for Shaun Phillips to have a big night and looking to see Atari Bigby and Eric Weddle to have a pick or two!

This is sound from last year, but MNF is MNF! Always exciting!

And the Chargers have a bye week just following tonight, thus you need to stick a win, to relish it for the week off, plus this is a Division Game!!
A SHOT AT THE BRAGGING RIGHTS AND MOMENTUM FOR THE BYE WEEK.

Half time SD local and NFL analyst Phil Michelson will attempting a shot (per PGA 14%) attempts on  for a million dollar charity contribution. Already giving the ESPN team some stats and his opinions only as a CHARGER fan can do.

BIG Game!  Lots although early in the season, lots on the line.

PS  Parking lots is full, closed and smoking with tailgating aroma's
